Facebook has been around for 7 years, but where has it all gone? If I asked you to find me that status update you posted 3 years ago when you graduated, you’d find it very hard to locate. What about 10 years from now, when most of my friends will be having their first child, how will they share all of this with their children?
The things we post on Facebook seem to have no longevity, they come and go in a matter of hours or days. It’s all too ephemeral. Imagine how nice it would be to have a personal (private) scrapbook to look back on the memories. A place to store the more meaningful status updates, comments, photos, videos, anything; think of it as a digital scrapbook. This would be a large project to implement but I think it’s seed of a powerful and very emotional feature.
Yo Zuck! Implement this.
